Research Scientist Qualifications •Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or Computer Science. Graduate degree preferred. •Minimum 1 year experience in a research environment •Knowledge of signal processing algorithm development •Experience in MFC, C++ and .NET •Ability to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel Energetic and enthusiastic self-starter with a desire to make a significant contribution •Knowledge of human physiology an asset but not required Responsibilities •Develop/implement new signal processing algorithm to conform to company product line and to new products particularly for pediatric EEG/PSGs. •Modify existing algorithms to conform to company product line. •Write design documents according to current documentation standards. •Participate in product validation and verification procedures. •Participate in the publishing/ presentation of findings in open literature, attend scientific meetings, and interact with the scientific community, as appropriate. •Perform literature searches. •Interact with Sales and Technical Support staff to determine current customer needs. •Participate in customer surveys with Sales & Marketing to determine needs. •Assist in the development of testing plans of Stellate Systems’ analysis tools, as appropriate. •Assist in training Sales and Customer Support staff in product use. SOFTWARE ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Participate in the design of software. 2. Write Functional Specifications, Design Specification and User Interface Specifications. 3. Revise the above documents in conformity with Design Control Procedures. 4. Develop and execute unit test procedures. 5. Perform final tests on software modules. 6. Document design activities according to current professional standards. QUALIFICATIONS • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. • At least 1 year experience in Object-Oriented Analysis, and Object-Oriented Design with UML. • At least 3 years experience in MFC C++ and .NET C# programming on Windows 2000/XP. • Experience of real-time system programming and signal processing a definitive plus. • Ability to interface with technical and non-technical personnel. • Energetic and enthusiastic self-starter with a desire to make a significant contribution. pmillette@stellate.com
